Meditation 101


Yoga meditation uses the breath to link the body and mind. Regardless of whether we are beginners or advanced practitioners, progress in our meditation practice requires that we learn to regulate the pattern of our breath so that we can reach deeper stages of awareness. In this class series, we will experiment with various yogic breathing exercises and witness their resulting effects on our mental activity. Our goal is to help each student establish their own simple yet effective meditation practice grounded in the yoga tradition.
