This 10-hour training is designed for yoga teachers and students who want to learn how to design and sustain a Restorative Yoga practice.
Restorative Yoga uses props to hold poses for an extended length of time thereby resulting in numerous physical and mental benefits.
Using props to support the body and hold postures longer allows our nervous system to turn off the fight or flight impulse that produces chronic stress.
As a result, we feel rejuvenated, anxiety, pain, stress are reduced, and our blood pressure tends to be lowered. Restorative yoga also promotes relaxation, mental clarity, and a sense of well-being by calming the body and mind.
Through the process of mindful softening into restorative poses, we gain an intense awareness of being present.
This 10-hour series will address the following aspects of Restorative Yoga:
• philosophy
• use of props
• partner work
• sequencing
• breath work
The series is designed both for teachers and students of yoga. We will learn various ways to incorporate restorative techniques into our classes and home practice.
Space is limited. Reserve today to receive the early bird discount.
