My Yoga Journey

Teaching yoga brings me joy, and I try to convey the joyful essence of yoga through all my teaching.

I have an ongoing teaching schedule of classes, workshops, retreats, and teacher trainings, both locally and internationally, and have been fortunate to train many yoga teachers who continue to pass on the teachings around the world.

I am also a regular contributor to the Yoga International online yoga program, you can find many of my classes in their library. Many of my classes can also be found on OMstars, where I have taught modalities such as Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and assorted workshops.

My yoga practice has also been informed by a long-standing interest in performance and the arts.  I have been active in the performance art scene in New York City, and performed in historic art spaces like Dixon Place and P.S. 122.  I co-founded the performance art group Coco Frio with Jose Muñoz and Rebecca Sumner-Burgos, and have worked with internationally known performance artist Carmelita Tropicana and dancer Julie Tolentino, as well as with renowned actor and director Cheryl Dunye in the groundbreaking film The Watermelon Woman.

Over a decade ago, I founded the Legion Park Community Yoga class, East Miami's most successful and long-running yoga outreach effort that now regularly draws over 100 people to gather under the oaks to connect, breathe, and remember their light.  If you want to experience free yoga as only Miami can offer - in the context of a thriving community market by the bay, I encourage you to come to Legion Park any Saturday morning at 10am (weather permitting)!

Please contact me for more information about my schedule or varied yoga offerings. I am available for private classes, workshops, many types of trainings, and more.
