Exploring the Yamas through Yin Yoga
A Yoga Workshop with Anamargret
The Yamas are the first of the “eight limbs” of yoga and guide us in our interactions with the world and others. Although they were composed over 2000 years ago, these principles remain relevant and important to living in the modern world.
By observing our actions through the lenses of non-violence, non-falsehood, non-stealing, moderation, and non-greediness we gain insights into our psyche and learn to steer our lives in a more fulfilling direction.
In this workshop, we will use writing, contemplation, meditation, and Yin Yoga to bring these teachings to life. We will study the continuing relevance of the Yamas in our everyday life so that we can apply them in the here and now.
The Yamas are powerful tools for transforming negative energy and cultivating self-awareness; experience them personally and allow them to unfold in your life, both on and off the mat.
We meet for 5 consecutive Mondays beginning Oct 12th-Nov 9th, 6-7:30p ET
Suggested donation: $36, $54, $108
