In Yoga, the Self is thought to be enfolded in five coverings called the Koshas.
In this workshop, we will explore how these five sheaths allow us to understand and experience our Self beyond the limits of the physical body and mind.
Beginning with the physical body we will move through the more subtle sheaths until we reach Anandamaya, the sheath of bliss and joy.
Using the tools of asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and discussion, we will slowly dig deeper to uncover more subtle aspects of the Self.
Each week we will build on our knowledge of the previous koshas, and by the end of this five-week exploration, you will:
Understand the vocabulary and theory of the koshas
Know practices that allow you to tangibly experience each layer of the Self
Expand your yoga practice with practical knowledge of the depths and complexity of the Self
