This training is an invitation to teachers and students to learn the art of deep relaxation.
Restorative Yoga is a great practice to rejuvenate your nervous system, heal your body and calm your mind.
This is the perfect workshop for teachers or students wanting a better understanding of the application of Restorative Yoga.
By using props to hold the postures longer and support the body our nervous system has time to recalibrate. We can turn off the unconscious fight or flight state that leads to chronic stress. Instead, we can consciously choose to practice a mindful softening into life and into who we are by being present. Restorative poses help the body find homeostasis and when the body is balanced it can start to heal itself.
It reduces anxiety, pain, stress, lowers blood pressure and changes the messages that are sent to the body.
It promotes relaxation, a sense of well being and mental clarity.
By using yoga props like bolsters, blankets, blocks and belts the body is allowed to truly let go. The more the body is supported the more it can relax and release the energetic blocks that cause pain, discomfort, anxiety and stress.
Teachers will learn how to teach Restorative Yoga and apply it in group and private classes.
Students will learn how to develop a home practice and relieve stress.
